Unveiling a Legend: The 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe 396/425 4-Speed

Original delivery of this 1965 Chevrolet Corvette coupe was made to British Columbia, Canada. It won an NCRS Top Flight award in 1995 and Bloomington Gold certification in 2020. The 396ci L78 V8 engine and Muncie four-speed manual transmission power this Goldwood Yellow-painted car with white leather upholstery.

Along with side-exit exhaust outlets, electric windows, chrome bumpers, an AM/FM radio, and 15-inch cast aluminum wheels, it had a PosiTraction differential. Acquired by the present dealer in 2023, this C2 Corvette is in Florida and comes with owner’s manuals, an MCACN award, NCRS paperwork, and a clear Florida title.

Mounted on 15-inch cast aluminum wheels with knock-off hubs are BFGoodrich Silvertown Radial narrow-whitewall tires. With upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link arrangement including a transverse leaf spring at the back, the C2 was the first Corvette to provide fully independent suspension. Four wheel discs control braking.
