Anthony Davis was absent from the game on Tuesday night due to headaches and nausea, and LeBron James was a game-time decision due to an illness.

Because of this, their chances of winning an automatic playoff berth were significantly diminished, and they ended the season with a record of 45-35, which placed them 2.5 games behind the New Orleans Pelicans for the sixth slot as a result.

Furthermore, it brought them one step closer to securing the tenth seed in the Western Conference, which would signify that they would not be able to host a game in the Play-In Tournament:
