Raminator, a monster truck with 2,000 horsepower, has been the fastest vehicle in the world for 6 years

Huge, weighing more than 4.5 tons, but Raminator can reach speeds of nearly 160 km / h, a record in the monster truck village.

Although monster truck competitions are classified as races, the real attraction of these giant machines is not the speed. It was the thrill of watching them crush the dead cars, and rush through challenging obstacles while giving off a shrill roar that made the fans extremely excited.

Some monster trucks like this have become legendary in the hearts of fans, like Grave Digger, the sport’s first superstar, and Bigfoot, the powerful pickup that helped create a craze in the US. But in the Midwest region of the country, a Dodge dubbed the Raminator has made a difference with its surprisingly fast speed.

Video exploring Raminator – The monster truck that held the title of fastest in the world for 6 years

We hold the Guinness World Record for the fastest monster truck in the world, ” says Hall Brothers Racing’s Tim Hall in a new interview on the ” Barcroft Cars ” YouTube channel. Hall won that title in 2014 at an event in Austin, Texas, where his giant car hit 99 mph (159.32 km/h).

But according to the Guinness Book of World Records, the current record holder is Bryce Kenny since a competition in Florida last year. Kenny was at the helm of a monster truck called the Great Clips Mohawk Warrior, and his 100.31 mph (161.43 km/h) record remains undefeated. However, that doesn’t mean that Hall Brothers is faltering in performance these days. They still won numerous championships, including a monster truck competition held in Lima, Ohio.

Raminator’s success is due to Hall’s skill behind the wheel of the 2019 Dodge Ram 2500. Weighing more than 4.5 tons, this Ram is equipped with a 9.25-liter supercharged Hemi engine, producing more than 2,000 horsepower. Costing around $150,000 to build, it’s also the latest in a line of monster trucks that the Hall brothers have built since the first Raminator showed up in the garage in 2005. If you include cars from before the first Raminator, the Halls have been doing the job for more than 30 years.

Now, Raminator’s goal remains to win races one by one. “ We did what we wanted, ” Hall said after the Ohio win. “We wanted to win all the races and we did, and we took the lead early, so we intend to win all the races. With this ambition, the Hall brothers may be able to claim the Guinness record again in one of the races ahead.
